The First Day of Spring
Well today is the official first day of Spring, although it does feel quite wintery.
At Rocklands we are busy decorating another Studio Lodge which is going to be completed ahead of scheldule meaning it is now available this weekend.
All our lodges are centrally heated and get lovely cosy and warm, so no matter what the weather is doing you can cosy up together and still feel snug and relaxed.
We have a couple of lodges left for this weekend which have been redcued down in price.
The Studio Lodge is now ONLY £150, and the Junior Suite ONLY £180.
And if your looking for things to do here are my top picks for this weekend.
Castle Howard opens it's doors on Saturday after being closed for the winter months. You can stroll around the wonderful gardens or visit the main house which has been used in such film & TV productions such as Brideshead Revisited & Death Comes to Pembley. http://www.castlehoward.co.uk/

2. If your travelling with kids, you can visit Flamingo Land. Its the last weekend of the Winter Zoo before the theme parks opens fully next weekend. which means its the last weekend where it will cost you just £10 an Adult & £7.50 for children to visit the zoo, watch keeper talks & some selected rides are open. http://www.flamingoland.co.uk/winter-opening-2013-2014.html
3. Whatever the weather I would always recommend a visit to Eden Camp. Its a multi-award winning Modern History Theme Museum housed within the grounds of an original World War Two prisoner of war camp. http://www.edencamp.co.uk/index.html
If you are planning a trip to stay with us this weekend we look forward to welcoming you.
