Helmsley Castle

Helmsley Castle has towered over the market town for nearly a thousand years. Originally a Medieval Castle, a Tudor mansion was added in the 1600's, before Cromwell's men in a show of power blew up the great keep, slicing it in half.

Rievaulx Abbey

Explore the dramatic and extensive remains of one of the most powerful monasteries in Britain. Once home to the greatest spiritual writer of the medieval Ages, Saint Aelred described it as 'everywhere peace, everywhere serenity' which still holds true today​

Whitby Abbey
