Rocklands Lodges

Accessibility Guide.

At Rocklands Lodges we want to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible.  We aim to accurately describe our facilities and services to give you the confidence to book the right cabin for your specific requirements.

All our log cabins are rated by VisitEngland under the National Accessible Scheme.

Getting Around Outside 

  • There is a gravel road that runs throughout the whole site.   

  • There is a green park area which is a grass lawn all on a flat level

  • Several benches are situated around the grounds.

Studio Lodges

STANDARD STUDIO LODGES WITHOUT HOT-TUBS

Parking

  • Allocated Parking for Lodge 1 Horcum is next to, but a short distance from the lodge

  • Allocated Parking for lodge 3 Langdale is next to the lodge 

  • Allocated parking for lodge 6 Beckdale is opposite the lodge across a gravel path

Level access

  • The main entrance to the lodges has a permanent ramp. 

  • There is level access from the main entrance through double french windows to the plan living room, kitchen and decking.

​

Access with steps

  • There are no steps in this lodge

​

Living Rooms​

  • From the main entrance to the lounge, there is level access.

  • The lounge area is open plan with the kitchen and bedroom.

  • All lodges have one sofas 

  • All lodges have a two person dining table with 2 dining chairs

Bedrooms

  • All studio lodges are open plan and have a double bed.

  • All bedrooms have windows.

  • The rooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.

  • TVs have subtitles.

  • All bedrooms are non-smoking.

Bathroom 

  • All have en-suite bathrooms with a shower which has a minimum step access.

  • The taps are lever operated. There is space under the basin, with no pedestal.

  • All have standard toilets.

Kitchens

  • All have an open plan kitchen.

  • All have a 4 ring hob and oven

  • The crockery is kept kitchen units above the counter.

  • Allocated Parking for lodge 2 Harewood Dale is next to, but a short distance from the lodge

  • Allocated Parking for lodge 4 Troutsdale is next to the lodge 

  • Allocated parking for lodge 5 Farndale is opposite the lodge across a gravel path 

  • ​Allocated parking for lodge 7 Rosedale is in front of the lodge.

  • The lodge have a two person fold away dining table with 2 dining chairs

  • The access for the twin room is through the living room.

  • The twin bedroom access for the bathroom is crossing the main living room where the double bed is.

  • The hot-tub is situated at the bottom of the ramp which is the main access ramp to the lodge. 

  • There are two gates to get to the Hot-Tub

  • There are movable steps up to the hot-tub

  • The hot-tub needs to be stepped into and has no grips aid entry or exit.

Living Rooms​

  • From the main entrance to the lounge, there is level access.

  • The lounge area is open plan with the kitchen

  • The lodge has one sofa  large corner sofa and a tub chair 

  • The lodge has a small dining table with 4 dining chairs

  • The bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.

  • The bedroom is non-smoking.

  • The main entrance to the lodges has a permanent ramp.  This ramp has a sharp bend 

  • There is level access from the main entrance through double french windows to the open plan living room, kitchen and decking.

​

Access with steps

  • There are no steps in this lodge

  • There are steps down to the hot-tub and then steps to get into the hot-tub.

​

Living Rooms​

  • From the main entrance to the lounge, there is level access.

  • The lounge area is open plan with the kitchen

  • The lodge has two sofa's

  • The lodge has a small dining table with 4 dining chairs

Bedrooms​

  • All bedroom has windows.

  • All bedrooms have ceiling lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.

  • All bedroom is non-smoking.

  • Master bedroom has en-suite WC accessed by single door

  • Twin Bedroom is en-suite to the family bathroom via a single door

  • There is level access from the main entrance through double french windows to the open plan living room, kitchen and decking.

  • The lounge area is open plan with the kitchen

  • The lodge has one sofa and two tub chairs 

  • The lodge has a small extendable dining table with 4 -6 dining chairs

  • The lounge area is open plan with the kitchen

  • The lodge has two sofa's

  • The lodge has an extendable dining table with 4 -6 dining chairs

Bedrooms​

  • All bedroom is non-smoking.

  • The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and requires the guest to step into the bath to use the shower.
